Jennings International College has progressed quite steadily, and today we have a student population of over 750 and a total of 70 in the tutorial and administrative staff. Our teachers are well qualified and experienced in their respective fields and they really care about the academic progress of the students. However the teachers place great importance on the ability of students to work independently and develop their own thinking. The students enjoy the unique environment provided by the college and gain the knowledge they need to achieve their career goals.

Jennings is mindful of the importance of the academic achievements of its students. The college has produced exceptional results in both London  and Local examinations. Throughout its existence The Jennings International College maintained a very higher percentage of results, between 90 and 98 percent, in London O/L and Local O/L (English Medium) examinations both in Science and commerce streams.

The college , since its beginning in 1998 has been maintaining a very good standard in English education. During the past decade our students have achieved academic excellence in English education and have climbed to greater heights.

In the German section we are proud to say that we became the first PASCH School in Sri Lanka. In February 2009, we celebrated this achievement with  a grand festival of “Strassen Fest” at the College premises and inaugurated a separate German complex with state of the art equipment provided by the government of Germany with a grant of Rs. 2.5 million. In 2011 the college started conducting  additional classes to prepare the students to face the German language examinations conducted by the Goethe Institute in Colombo. The students and the teachers  are also provided with the opportunity of participating in summer camps and educational visits to Germany and India organized annually by the Geothe Institute.

French Language is taught from Primary classes to Senior classes preparing children for the London O/L examinations. The results have been very successful.

Computer studies is one of the popular subjects among the students. The junior computer lab was declared opened in 2009 with 24 computers to already existing senior computer lab.The British Council in Colombo selected  both senior and junior computer labs to conduct their London O/L examination in our college in  May 2011 and expressed their full satisfaction.
